Congrats Lonius! Love the rules this week, so much nostalgia. I played Street Fighter II Turbo for hours as a kid so I had to flip one of my favorite games of all time. I used the theme songs for Guile and Ken and pitted them against each other. Also used some kick and punch sound effects and put those into the drums. It's subtle but they are there and add a nice touch. Peace.
Hey All, Congrats on the win L and really dig the theme. I went back to the early 90's and the Super Nintendo. It was the tail end of my gaming days and I was not very sober back then. I just know I hated Blanca cause my friend would just whoop my ass with him no matter who I choose to be. I must say my favorite game all time is TECMO SUPER BOWL. Man we wasted so much time on that game-whole weekends. Steve Young to Rice and Taylor. LT on D was the Beast. Peace, Hugh
Yo what's good people?
Some Awesome rules this week, I ended up using the Heihachi and yoshimitsu parts.
Mad amount of choices should be a good mixture of samples from everyone.
I did listen to his beat once before I rushed through crafting mine (this evening/night only).
My process: choose samples: arrange samples, program drums, play along the chords, add bass, "mixing". I honestly have no idea which samples I used, but quite a lot actually.
man i wish these rules were for a monthly battle. this game (super smash bros on n64) is so fucking dear to my heart, spent a lifetime playing it. tried to do it some justice given the time available. flipped "home level" themes for samus and kirby from the game
