Hello Fam.
Our Story.
My Name is Tom and I started out WeGrowWax in 2014. Tired of traditional “business” modelled music labels , I planned to start something fresh. A label , which puts Artists in the first place always. Based on my experience with record labels as a producer, I knew exactly what I would like to achieve. Not only a label, rather a platform for organic growth. Place, where Artists could make their visions true. Record label that understands their needs and the individual growth. Most of the main principals were inspired by Philosophy of Bruce Lee…for some it may seem shallow…but If one thinks so, one had to study different Master Lee;]
Now , after four years I can say label flew through some heavy moments. Due to the fact , we are not focused on what is popular, rather on music which I feel personally, We are not the most popular nor charting bunch. Love is real, the same as the struggle. All this concept, wasn’t planned from business side. I threw myself into deep water and I don’t regret even one second spent with WGW. I met absolutely amazing people, who feel the same or similar. Those People, whom I can definitely call friends now, helped to shape this label into something magical. It’s an high idea, not just a plain record label. It will live forever.
Music We Release:
Due to the vision, I got a very broad taste. I love all that hip-hop, trip-hop, electronica, chill out , downtempo, ambient, jazzy ,funky, experimental etc. The only rule is to keep it rather downtempo…and as much organic;]
Quality over Quantity always.
What does organic mean to me:
It’s not always about those nice self recorded, organic noises…It’s more about feelings. If a track can move my mind into some nice place and fits the above mentioned criteria…it’s in. Fresh music that pays homage to the roots of the genre.
Boring Data
Yes, we are a registered company here in the Republic of Ireland. To respect the artists, we needed to be legit and we always were. Company address is the home I live in:

First, we started to distribute our release through State51 Conspiracy based in UK. However, the process was dull. After the agreement ended, I switched to Symphonic Distribution from USA. We are still with them and I don’t plan to switch anytime now.
Releases are already delivered to those services: https://symphonicdistribution.com/digit ... tribution/
Soon: Southern Korea
Media.
I try to be a one man army. I am running most of our Media and website. I make most of the artworks and promo materials…Not always though! again…Having Artists in mind, in many cases I am just the catalyst. I let their visions embody and I do it with pure pleasure. I love to cooperate. This is how our idea is brought to life.

Survival of The Freshest
When I started to discuss this project with Joa, I didn’t quite know what to expect. I had a very broad idea in my head and all I knew back than is that the STBB community is legendary and full of talent. I already work with artists that are past or present ST beat battlers, (Sixfingerz, Scottie Royal, B-Jam vs Enos, defMute to name just few), and our series of compilations, We Got it in Nature, became home for many producers affiliated with STBB community. This is what sparked the idea of coop between us in the first place and thanks to Joa's open mind and good will we developed this great idea. It’s actually amazing how close our vibes are. We brainstormed heavily to make the best out of the compilations concept, and agreed that keeping the battling aspect alive was crucial
