I didnt like all the tracks on that Kenny/Denzel but the video is awesome...Kenny is alright but Ive seen some videos where he is super annoying and makes some trash and people act like its a groundbreaking classic, to be fair I have heard some good stuff from him too.

Kamaal Williams seriously becoming one of my favorite musicians lately. This one is off a fantastic live album, can't wait for his new one to drop this year it sounds like.

(The version of Snitches Brew on here is insane)

Thanks been listening to that album since you posted this.

I still got this on heavy rotation. I played "strings of life" back to back for like 2 hours when I first got this

on a related note this dropped about an hour ago

Right on, glad you enjoy it!

Yeah, that whole album is really fantastic really - It got a ton of replay when I first heard of it and still play it often in the evening when heading off to sleep. Strings of Life easily my favorite on there too

I dunno if you listened to The Return which came out after they split, it's solid but that first one between the two of them was special.

Admittedly I haven't checked out much of Yussef Dayes after to see what he's been up to, but now I'm definitely gonna look into this after work tonight after that video you shared. He's killer on the drums, he added a ton to that album with Kamaal. Really like that music on the new video too

It's a bit different, but Kamaal's electronic stuff under Henry Wu is worth a look as well

This one's been stuck in my head for the last few days, such a silly song but still a jam too. The video is great too haha

"I may be covered in cat hair, but I still smell good"

I like that the Flylo keyboard from Flamagra was used on this one too, I remember reading about the specific one he was using but I can't remember the name now blah. Was all over Flamagra though, pretty interesting sounding one.

Edit: I was thinking of the clavinet, it's mentioned in this article. The same sorta thing on Superstition, hadn't thought about that till now lol
