FB ID Upload?!

wth !.. fb removed my account coz I used a pseudonym.. whole history gone!
asking me to upload a copy of an ID..
supposedly for security reasons.
I have an alternate one with a name closer yet different to my real name..
wonder if they'll block that one too?
I'm able to send friendhip requests to some.. but not all contacts.
this is some B.S.

Wow, I'm sorry to hear you are having that trouble.. interesting enough I was having the same exact problem for the complete opposite reason recently. I had my FB deactivated for about 5 years, but realized recently I did not permanently delete my profile. When I tried logging back in, there was an issue with my phone number attached, so I had to send them pictures of my mail and stuff, they didn't respond at all to it. It is crazy, they were basically holding my personal data hostage since they locked me out of account.
I finally managed to get my phone verification working, got my account back and permanently deleted everything. I feel relief knowing they will no longer have my information, I personally think Facebook is one of the worst tech companies out there.
I know a lot of people have good reason to use FB though, I feel bad that they just shut things off without warning. Did you happen to have a phone number attached that you could do the phone text verification through? While reading online about the photo ID stuff, I saw it could take weeks or even months before receiving a response back sometimes.

never added a telephone number to it.
well.. I wouldn't feel too safe.. once they have your info, they have it.
it's how you pay for this "free: service.. with your privacy.
I heard photoshopping documents works..they allow bills as proof too.
might try that in due time.
