Hey Ya'll
Glad to be back in the swing of things- especially for a week that, despite fewer entries, did not lack for top tier competition
Much love to THODB for a playful flip that had me shaking my head with a smile on my face
Also much respect to MZFK - I especially dug how it evolved into a dope ending part with great chops of those sonic youth guitars..
My Top picks are
3. uglyskratch: An amazingly well crafted 90's 'ardcore flip - people forget hardcore was the other early 90's "indie" music besides rock.
2.Super Sen: I think this was the most well crafted piece of the week, I love it for what it is .. Only reason it doesn't make my #1 is that I wished I could have heard a bit more guitars to be fully en pointe with the theme
1.Rick Brannigan III : It's scrappy and dodgy but it really stuck out to me as the freshest flip. I think it really captures a dirty basement feel that makes me long for the days before autotune when cassettes were king.
Great job to all and to all a good night!
