hi all..

haven't seen my girl since november..
we were about to meet when the corona flightban was implemented.
found these wonderful tones in Girl with the flaxen hair.. and the rest just sorta happened by itself.

What's up people, its a been a hell of long time since I did a weekly  Sadly I ran out of time to finish it (Had another pad bank off samples chops to use for switch ups and didn't get chance to lay down a bassline) but I definitely going back to this in the near future to finish it. I sampled Claude Debussy - Préludes No. 7 Ce qu'a vu le vent d'Ouest track, vocal snippets from a Tommy Lynn Sells interview and outside drums. All sampled, chop, mixed and arranged using an Akai MPC 2500.

That's enough of me rambling on, here my unfinished entry

Yo..

Congrats Averma.. Shame you missed the deadline.. Wonder what you woulda put up?

Hope everyone is doing alright out there.. :peace:

Went into a serious YouTube hole with this one.. Just left SoundFlower running and nabbed a load of content.. Some of which include :

De Bussy - Pour le piano Sarabande
De Bussy - Suite bergamasque Clair de lune
De Bussy String Quartet in G minor, Op. 10
& Street Fighter 2 dialogue & SFX

I even cut up De Bussy - Deux Arabesques (Harpe) - Héloïse de Jenlis - sounded sweet just didn't have time to get it in the mix..

Prepping/mixing the dynamics before chucking in sampler for classical jamz is a long ting you know!! :happytears:

Anyways.. Hope yous enjoy my concoction this week. Selected & chopped up yesterday. Started the beat today.. Not gonna lie, felt a bit of a struggle but stuck at it.. Glad I did

As always.. Looking forward to peeping everyone's flavours

Safes :vulcan:

Running against clock again; i really wanted to participate this week and on the run i forgot how much i actually hate debussy recordings lol
i've used two root sequences from "Nocturne 1892" and tried my best to equal some synths into that notes that can be listened along the entire beat.

Good luck to everyone.

Just in Time.
I used a recording of Estampes and Roy Hargrove's version of The Girl With The Flaxen hair.
