All everything ok except acapellas. You can rap if you want, (Joa).

Your song has to start with a stripped-down section that has a simple, repeating rhythm; then the drums come in and they make you understand the original rhythm differently. Like the downbeat wasn't where you thought it was, or the note values weren't what you thought they were. The listener's head should go 'whaaaaaa' when the drums hit.

sample was hard to flip this week ! micro chops for the main part and reversed other micro chops for the second
i sample some percs and the little vocal inside too. lets go like this!

Congratz on the win, well deserved!

As others have said I also had a hard time with this sample, so I took a different approach than I usually do. When chopping I found like a bass hit that sounded like a brass and a small chop where the singer says "clap" and there is an actual clap at the same time. This gave me an idea to make this kind of hard hitting brass trap beat that was so popular in the edm-sphere in like 2014.

So I layerd the bass hit with itself but an octave higher and some other brass sounds, added the clap chop, some drums and bass. The vocal is me recorded on my shitty usb headset.
