1. resubmann3rs- excellent work mixing original stuff with the sample. Super dreamy and inspired.
2. Doktor Cross- I don't know why, but this takes me back to a moment I don't remember... Really nostalgic and dirty.
3. BLeS24- that intro was some Hotline Miami shit, like I can SEE that environment dawg.

Shoutouts:
Wigmaster: great mixing dude. Drums are to die for.
Lil 'P: Oh my god those drums. Reminded me of by flylo.

Great work this week guys.

1. Stoffa da Chef - God damn man, the energy on this one is fantastic - Killer track man

2. BushBeats - Really like how you incorporated the vocal background, the effects you used. Dope beat here

3. Lil P - This is an odd one but I found myself coming back to it during the week lol - I like that pattern you got here

Shouts out to CoolCalmMaurice, Lonius, resubmann3rs, Swoop!, and Granny David (You were close to my #3 pick this week - also  at the cover pic)

My Votes For STBB #639

Fri Jun 07, 2019 10:44 pm

Mane so many kats brought their A-game to the competition this go 'round, it makes it so much harder to choose just three people when it's like 10 kats who could really impressed me, but I can only pick just three, damn, here goes:

1. Lil' P aka Pedro Boomin (your beat sounded like something Madlib would do, the bass notes was grimy, loved the quirky percussion)

2. Vuzel (this is just straight up boom-bap, I'm a sucker for it, liked how clean it sounded and the change-up)

3. WigMaster (the beat was thick & full, the kicks & snares was hard, that bass was heavy, chops were nice)

Honorable mentions go to: Stoffa Da Chef (I liked how you took it in a different direction, and hit us in the head with some vaporwave), Lonius (loved the chill lofi beat, reminds me of the mid-90's vibe), Elvis JC (why did you make your beat a non-entry, that track was dope, you had it chopped up so ill that it gave it's own unique bounce I couldn't deny, dawg you would've been in my top 3 if it wasn't a non-entry track), Keith's Lard (yours was on some killa/thug type shit, I could easily hear Kool G. Rap or a Queensbridge rapper spittin' fire on this track), Yung Uncy (liked that crunchy sp-404 vibe you had going), Dez Nyce (liked your drums, had a natural feel to them), Granny David, Butta Slick, Moxatron, Doktor Cross, Swoop, Komplizietes Konsortium, & JoaGymshoe.

Man, this was so dope. To be part of this was awesome. Ya'll are extremely talented, everyone came correct, really hard to decide the top three. For me though, I would have to go with...
