I incorporated a Wayne Shorter sample, because my dad and I have been to a Wayne Shorter concert two years ago.

Hey All, This one goes out to my mother. She was an elementary school librarian who always was turning her children on to new books. She would bring the projector home and show us all kinds of cool films in the days before VCRs and cable TV. My parents had a real nice stereo that they skimped and saved to get and would play music from the 50’s and 60’s. Moon River was their song. I also used some Chordettes and Caterina Valente. She was a big science fiction and fantasy buff. Even though she was a hardcore Christian fundamentalist who never cussed she made room for violence and sex in movies and books. I remember her going by herself to see Alien when it came out and telling me about the hatching scene. A few years ago she gave me some thick ass book and telling me she was excited that it was going to be a TV series. Of course that was Game of Thrones and I am going to watch the penultimate battle with her tonight on a huge screen I built that uses a LCD projector. Love you Mom.

Peace, Hugh

This one is for pops. My dad and my uncle (from my mom's side) were in a funk band together in the 1970's in NYC called Pride of the Ghetto so I had to sample that funk. The photo for the track is their old band photo. My dad is on Sax and my uncle on bass.
