That was fun. :D I recorded the sound of a knife hitting a pint glass then played it via Omnisphere's granular engine.

I recorded my ravanahatha violin that I bought in India. I've wanted to sample it since I got it 10 years ago but haven't until yesterday. This Schoolboy Q acapella felt good over the beat but god damn, that key change for the hook was hard to work with.

Goddammit, that was difficult. Tricky samples and stupid rules! ;-)

I sampled my busted old guitar, off course. And layered it with a short flute bit from the samples.

I hope the mix doesn't blow up the low end in your phones/speakers!

yoww, dope samples.. used the alien one,..
the 'Bell' sound is a metal lamp I frequently bump into that shines a light on my writing block sitting above my mic.
it features in some of my raps involuntary sometimes already :D
it sounds really sweet.
made it a non entry coz I used rhodes I didn't play myself.
really happy with the result though.
already heard some dope entries...
looking forward to hearin' more!

I used a beer bottle. A couple of hits and I chose one for the snare, I whistled in the bottle and I used for the synth.

Dude, this was great fun! I used a guitar to play some chords behind the melody from the sample, Its an acoustic guitar so I used my headphone mic to record it. Then I created a little melody/arpeggio by hitting a glass vase with my perfume bottle and then processing it. The accapella has probably been used a thousand times but I thought it fit haha

I played the main theme on the acoustic guitar. Inspired by the Kongchains story i decided that it is time to get out the Harmonica wich i bought some weeks ago and never played yet.
Just four notes... was hard enough to find the right ones... took me an hour ;)

And finally my man Henning Heftig finished it with the 808 bass :)

I used 2 of the samples and hit a knife on the handle of a coffee cup for the ding sound. Then added delay and some other stuff.

Collaborated with Ruedenz :guitar:

The first physical object is a guitar, played by Ruedenz over our beat. There is also some 'pool ball' samples from my pool table in there too as another physical object

We added Mos Def and Common as we felt the beat was crying out for some raps

Had a lot of fun working with such a talent!

Hope you enjoy :blunted:

Hey All, I used my daughter's guitar and banged on it with a stick. Kinda has a dulcimer sound. I really liked the part where it was bouncing as fast as I could make it off all the strings. I guess I was pretending to be John Cale from the Velvet Underground.peace, Hugh
