The warped vocals on my track is heavily inspired by a technique used by Gotye on "State of The Art". Gotye's actually a genuine, bad-ass samplist. Check out this wonderful documentary to get a glimpse of his workflow:

Really happy with how this one turned out. I've been meaning to flip a Singers Unlimited record for years, so this was my chance and it came out so well IMO. 8-)

The prominent pitched percussion parts are what I made with my mouth. I recorded 4x 'clip clop' noises at different pitches then chopped them up, added a grain delay, and played them in. They worked so well and it was just what I was looking for. I really need to do it more often. :mrgreen:

I was feeling like beatboxing and rapping a bit given the rule (dope ass rule and smaples btw!) but unfortunately I am not an expert at either

Used every of the six samples. Arps, synths, part of the bass and a few percussions comes from my mouth.
