- A tale of 3 cities -

Imagery is a big part of my process so my idea was to provide 3 sets of samples that can represent 3 cityscapes or inspire an image for you to create from

WAVS - https://we.tl/t-ROk5Ndgf4D

MP3 - https://we.tl/t-ShaMY0yXBW

This week I have put together a sample pack of 6 songs two are SID chip C64, two are French Avant Garde Dark Ambient songs and the last 2 are Experimental Folk with female vocal leads.

There are 2 stipulations

:fire: The samples are split into 3 folders A,B and C*:fire:

You must use at least one sample from any 2 of the folders. So thats any combination of 2 sources from folders A,B or C

:mic: Your entry must include at least one sound provided by you. Dont worry you do not have to rap a whole 16 bars or anything extreme like that you can just hum a bass tone or use your hands to add a clap hell you could sneeze at the end for all I care but one element must be provided by you. :mic:

All outside drums, percussion and instruments are fair game but no other melodic Samples are allowed, you must make the samples from the pack the main focus of your entry.

FINEPRINT

Upload your beat to Soundcloud, include "STBB 621“ in the title, and post in this forum by Wednesday Midnight, Pacific time.
Give feedback and you will receive it back.
For easy browsing's sake tracks will be reposted and added to a weekly playlist here: https://soundcloud.com/stbbcollection
Label entries that are posted after the deadline as 'late entry' and entries that don't comply with the rules as: 'non-entry' in your track title.
Vote in the designated thread by Friday at Midnight, Pacific time.
Winner: post new sample, rules, etc by Saturday Noon, Pacific time and upload the samples using https://wetransfer.com

Enjoy yourselves and have fun in the worlds you imagine!
*plus bonus breaks

You actually had until 8pm tonight as the deadline is 12pm Pacific time, not GMT. :) Thanks for getting it up sooner rather than later though, as that means us Euro based guys can get to work this afternoon rather than later tonight or tomorrow which I know is always welcome.

Great samples btw and really liking that special rule of having to record a part provided by ourselves. I better dig my mic out! :mic:  This will be fun...

I already grabbed them so here they are, and i've already converted them to WAVs: https://we.tl/t-ROk5Ndgf4D

CHOPFYT, you may want to use my link in the original post instead so everyone gets the WAVs? I know it makes it easier for people using samplers than can't play MP3's for example.

Yes as an option. Both the MP3 and the WAV versions are in the OP.
