Yo

What's good people?

Damn...
Taxi Driver is one of my favourites of all time. :fire:
Happened to see this when I was around 14/15 years old.

tempo 88 used the Hold the Line sample.
Usual approach for chopping, just outside drums added.
Bass from the sample.
Amped up the guitars. Added some filter action.

:salute: :vulcan: :peace:
Peace Mox.

Used the God's Lonely Man sample. Ran it through Portal to get a drone atmosphere as the backbone of the beat. Embellished with frequencies. Dilla Month.

hey a friend of mine mentioned my mixes are coming out a little hot, harsh and distorted. I'd appreciate any feedback on this
They are indeed a bit heavy on the low and lack some high frequencies. Also, most of the time it's preferable to keep frequencies below 350HZ mono. And a little distortion isn't necessarily a bad thing.
Other than that music wise always on point!

Used Hold the Line sample, pitched the pianos down as the basis and nabbed some vocals.

Both samples used, nothing outside except an 808, an additional sub and drums. i had to stop as I cannot listen anymore to this bloody acapella lol.
My idea was to give the song a dark twist with some dub elements inspired from last weeks winner Elevated.
