another thought is..

it's all based on Pacific Time now
if we take the same schedule and place it on Central European Time it would free up 9 hours more of the weekend.
depending on how quickly the winner posts but that's always the case.

I'm not sure entirely if I understood FVF's original post entirely, but as I took it he wanted the battles to start earlier, not postpone the deadline?

At least that is what I am suggesting: shifting all the deadlines one day in advance. That would come in specially handy for all the Europeans who then could also use their Friday evening to flip the samples.

So then we in europe would have friday to tuesday for beatmaking and wednesday to friday for voting...

Also it would defuse the problem of battles being set up late (which often makes me "lose" the chance to start on Saturday afternoon..)

Generally I often have some time on Friday night, not so much on Saturdays or Sundays...

peace!

thats another good way to improve... I understand the historic reason of why PST was the timetone of choice, however since the battles turned more and more "european" that might be a good thing to change..

moving the whole 5 and 2 system a day earlier is not on the cards.

last edit for today, lol: having no late entries kills two birds with one stone coz it would make for a longer period to flip too.
the posting of new samples seems best left to friday afternoon/evening.. so from noon pacific

Nice samples and theme to play with this week. 8-)

OOookay so check it.

3 parts of the sample used, chopped up into small questionable loops, equal salami sizes.
Made a little intro with one of the samples and two other beats with the other two.
Low end Filtered from the sample and amped up for BASS.
Added a Kick snare and two hi hats.
Bit of a filter for 4 bars.
BPM 77.7 ;)

:salute: :vulcan: :peace:
Peace Mox.

RE the voting convo, some of you may have seen me try creating a poll thread/moving some posts around, etc - I think it may just end up being better here for now.

Also, I'm sorry I've been away for so long - lots of stuff going on in my life, good stuff but also keeping me extremely busy. I'm hoping to be settled in and back at it here around March :)

Peace!
