Congratulations to Ruedenz on winning the last remix battle

As Joa suggested, it might be worth us trying a slightly different format this month, just to see how it goes.
I've still managed to keep the 'Remix' theme/concept though

Rules:
I've provided 4 acapellas in the folder.
Choose one of the acapellas to 'remix' (you can either make a full remix of your chosen acapella, or just use small parts of it like just the chorus or what ever, be creative as you like with it)

Acapellas

Then sample one of the four tracks provided. Feel free to sample all four tracks

Samples

All other usual stuff is fine like synths, playing instruments, own vocals etc - just no outside musical samples...or Drums!

Special Rule: Drums must come from one of the artists/groups in the list below
So go out (not literally, obviously  ) and dig up some open drum breaks from any of the following:

Little Feat
David Axelrod
Isaac Hayes
Billy Cobham

Have fun

Hope to see a good few entries this month, it would be quite interesting to hear what you guys create with these acapellas and samples.

Start: Now!
End: Wednesday night 29th of April
Vote: by Friday night 1st of May
New Challenge up by: Sunday 3rd of May

Congrats. ruedenz and fun challenge GD.
use as little or much as we want, that leaves for plenty of possibillities..

did a quick youtube search on drumbreaks on these artists and there's people that have done the gruntwork for us :)

Haha yeah, should be more than enough drum breaks to choose from there, no matter how many times they've been used before

yoww.. 3 way collab with B-Dog ( The Home Of Dope Beats ) and his son B.O.R.
title translated: " If you do what you say then you ain't lyin' "
for the flip I used as little possible while still adhering to the rules.. bassline and brass stab from the samples..
drumbeat from one the break suggestions.. and a lil' RHCPeppers.
I think you can hear we had fun on this :D

This is wrong on so many levels, just couldn't get it going properly. Should have scrapped it really but decided to upload it anyway as I have nothing else to submit.
I'm hoping the song title justifies my approach

Drums = Little Feat

Yeez Granny u put me in trouble with this one! Hell of a nightmare challenge :D But that's what it's about!
Started literally over like 10 times. Now this is the best I could do in the end. Unfortunately I didn't go down the road of using the acapella somewhat creatively, that might have been better.
Anyhow, here is my funky dancy give it away. Layered Billy Cobham drums (more cymals and percussion) and Issac Hayes, that was pretty sweet.

I agree this challenge was really difficult.
