Ok.. I scrolled up and started playing some of the other drum entries -- I swear I didn't hear Psychedelic Schizophrenic's before making mine. I hope it doesn't look like I'm copying, the pattern I was looking at was just one of defaults in the Drumbit app :(
Quick where's my solicitors phone number #copyrightinfringement

Nah it's all cool man I know you weren't trying to copy anything and I'm pretty sure others on here will say the same 8-)
Like I said in my earlier post mine was just a simple hip hop drum pattern, so no doubt it was a default generic option in the Drumbit app that sounded similar. Glad too see you getting busy on this one, hopefully you be able to complete the next steps and finish your flip :)

Haha thanks man

This probably sounds like garbage so I've converted to a non-entry to make myself feel better. I dunno what I would add as bass since this sample actually had a cool bass already, I'm probably way too tired but pumping the bass gives it a sorta RZA feel? lol -- Anyway it's 4:20am and I have a phone call for work at 8, blah. Time for some zzzs, peace

I promise to try doing stuff more seriously once I get my keyboard and some actual DAW vs fiddling around with Audacity like I am now lol

left my original drum beat pretty much untouched with exception of some leveling. constructed chops from melodic sample around that. bass from the sample came along for the ride.

oh nooooooooo.

Joa asked me if I wanted to participate, thought the deadline was the coming sunday though.

I didn't listen to any of your entires yet, cause as said above, did not know "stage 2" was already happening

Well. Can I still join you guys?

here's my drumbeat(s) - three parts played on the same kit.

I doubt anyone has any issue with you joining in this rather than last week. Glad to see you getting involved!

Thanks man! Yeah.. Audacity is great for recording or editing some audio, not so good for trying to make something new haha (Not that this is even what they intend it to be used for!)

That's awesome you're doing a beatmaking app, I'd be interested to take a look at it! I may be getting into some other DAW too once I get a keyboard in the mail, but I want to try out a bunch of different things (The drum sequencer Chrome app I still think is useful, worth the $2 I spent too ha).

Def be sure to share the news when you do finally get it out later this year :)

Yeah man. The more, the merrier! I think Joa may have even kept week 1 open for another week anyway, so its all good.

Thanks Wax for sorting out the samples.

Looking forward to week 3

Here's my 2nd stage entry.... Original Drums - some very slight changes. Used 2 of the samples. Very rough draft. Posted on private and adding here with Linked Globe Icon.... If that's not cool, let me know. (I'm likely to see a message on soundcloud than here - if it does need to be public. This very rough draft.
Thanks, Mrs. Chopper.
