Hi.

New Year Vibes!!!
Nice one! I like how you kinda went in the 6 Variations style here, different beats all in the same track :) - That one at 1:39 especially man, good stuff

My feedback would be the vocal samples are just a bit loud, bringing the beat more up-front I think would take this to another level

Granny David & JoaGymshoe collaboration
We sampled Roy Ayers Sweet Tears Live

Had a lot of fun ::trumpet:
Thanks again to GC!

Hell yeah! I was saying this on SC, but this is what's so cool about this board and the battles we do - People have flipped that Sweet Tears OG track, but who is flipping some random live version from Youtube! You and Joa are a great combo, dope lyrics too there!! Very smooth stuff.

Gutted I ran out of time and never got round to finishing this but I've decided to throw it up anyway. Used chops from the following tracks, Roy Ayers - Sweet Tears, Billy Wooten - Times Of Your Life & Bobby Hutcherson - Head Start

Almost scrapped it, but then got into the lab this afternoon because I couldn't NOT compete in the FIRST monthly battle.

I hope the acapella inclusion is limited enough to be fair game. Let me know if not.

Fair game! You chopped it up enough, not the full acapella (That rule was mostly just to prevent a full song's remix! GD's non-entry is a good (and dope!) example haha)

Glade you made it through, dope track!

Really happy with how this one turned out. I love a vibe. 8-)

I flipped Cal Tjader - Solar Heat . It's a little simpler than a lot of my tracks, but of course less complex/layered production can be great. I'm working towards more consistently achieving the happy medium between stripping things back to the key parts but still having the detail I want, but not so the track is so stacked the mix suffers.

Awesome, was hoping some folks would make use of the Cal Tjader stuff! I had not heard of him until a buddy at work showed me his music, really good :) Will show my friend the beats you guys did showing him some cool Cal Tjader flips

B-Jam, you've done a ton of great beats here but I have to say this is one of my favorites you've posted! Very nice!

Bless love that you incorporated that Bustin out of doors intro, the build up on the OG track is awesome and that remains true on the flip

Thanks man glad you enjoyed this 8-) I would of liked to maybe reworked/tweaked the drums while completely redoing the bassline on this
