Carlos Santana has collaborated with many different artists over the past half a century, always experimenting with different blends of styles and talents. I'd like this battle to be like a dedication to his great work by having the many different talents within our STMB community recycle and experiment with his work.
I've provided some hand-picked samples for you to have fun with.
https://we.tl/t-FG1tE87L8k

Rules:
- Use at least 1 sample from 'Santana Samples' as the main focus of your beat/track.
- Use at least 2 samples from 'Santana Percussion' (These samples include percussion rhythms - You can use full loops from these as the main rhythm to your beat if you want. But if you'd prefer just use a tiny part like a bongo hit or small tambourine shake or whatever)
- Maximum 2 entries per head.
- No outside samples, only outside drums and bass allowed.

Competition open until 23.59 Pacific Time Thursday January 3rd 2019. Voting will be open from Jan 4th-6th.

Have fun and good luck!

I've uploaded them to a location that won't expire like WeTransfer does:

GrannyDavid, feel free to update the link in your OP.

Flipped the 1st track and chopped a kick and a bongo from the percussion to add to some outside drums

I have started this right in November.
Didn't know how to finish.
Then my good old friend Chris came over for some drinks,
and he spitted a little freestyle verse :)

For the interlude i've played some fx on the first kaossilator (not pro).

Had in mind that outside instruments are ok.
But now that i read the rules again, i think maybe not...Only outside drums and bass...
seems to be pretty clear :(

Sorry if i've messed up the rules on this one.
Don't have time to fix it...
Should i tag it 'non-entry'?

Hey man it's ok, don't worry about the rules at this stage as its just a friendly side-battle and not many people have entered anyway - so its all good.

Thanks for taking the time to participate, your involvement is much appreciated!
