You are correct that I don't produce yet but you guys are certainly inspiring me to get at work learning how to do this. My 2019 new year's resolution is to get good enough to feel comfortable entering a battle lolGranny David wrote: ↑Thu Nov 22, 2018 5:52 pmCongrats to Ruedenz Fair is fair and that beat deserves top marks!
Thanks for your votes and special thanks to Yoni Den for putting this together.
I have an idea for a sort of battle type thing.....
Pass the Beat
Example:
A production line of 3 or 4 producers - We could maybe form a few teams for each battle, or have 1 team against another if numbers are low etc.
Team member #1 works on a sample, then passes it over to team member #2 to inject his flavour, then over to member #3 for the final edit.
Each team member upload their draft/version in order to show the beat in the 3 stages of production, and to show voters how it developed and who did what etc.
As for who will select the samples...I would nominate WaxRamble, as he doesn't produce at the moment (if I'm right in thinking) so he would make a good and reliable host for this concept. The host would select a small loop or a few little samples for us to work on, but not full tracks to pick out our own samples from as there could be too much variation. This is a good way to see how we all work with the exact same ingredients. a Bit like those cooking programs, except this won't suck as much!!
Would love to hear some suggestions if this seems like a good idea to anyone?
