The early start gave me more time - lovely sample but I thought it tough to make hype / battle music and found myself remaking Buck Em Down (same sample) So I took the bass and distorted the hell out of it and EQ'd it back, same with the keys of the sample. I think bringing in rappers and/or acapellas as a 'remix' kind of thing would definitely prompt me to be active in the monthlys.

Collab with the main man HESHy - thanks for working with me... here's what we came up with.

Congrats JC! I made this one at 60bpm and liked the idea of a clock ticking as a percussive element. According to Serato, 3 of the samples were in the same key so used all 3 as elements and layered with keys and lots of wobbly tape.
